I was hoping that adding a product containing peptides to my daily regimen would not only help with these specific concerns, but also help with overall skin maintenance. I had recently asked Marta for her “Five Best with Peptides,” and she generously obliged! This Nutra-Lift product contains the active Matrixyl 3000, which Marta noted as a top performer in her article. It also contains Acetyl Hexapeptide 8, apparently a peptide that reduces expression lines as part of its “Advanced Triple Peptide Complex.” I have seen it referred to as “Botox in a jar” elsewhere on TIA, along with some controversy about whether it actually causes sagging. I didn’t notice any, for what it’s worth. In fact, I’m not sure I noticed anything extreme here in terms of effectiveness – good or bad – after two solid months of use besides a very fast return of my skin to its pre-Miami state of combo dry/oily. This is likely the effect of the growth factors. I would continue to use this and maybe even buy it again because of the pleasant experience and very reasonable cost. I enjoyed the light fruity smell and knowing how natural the rest of the ingredients are, including many strong antioxidants. I may have had some reduction of the marionette lines as well.

Nutra-Lift Wrinkle Repair Plus Growth Factors ($41) came into my life at just the right time. I had just returned from a less-than-fun trip to Miami, where despite the mostly cloudy weather, I still got enough sun to warrant some repair and hydration. I was a month away from turning 45 and while I have decent skin tone and firmness to begin with (thank you Osmosis Replenish ($44) and Mad Hippie Vitamin C ($34) – both purchased after reading TIA reviews), I do have sun spots, the beginnings of marionette lines on my left side, and some eye crepiness to contend with.

I read someone else’s review of this product that noted some pilling effects when combined with other products, but that did not happen to me. Nutra-Lift Wrinkle Repair Plus Growth Factors worked well with everything I put over it: sunscreen – including Nutra-Lift Maximum Sun Protection ($21) as well as drugstore sunscreens from Neutrogena and Eucerin – various makeup primers, and foundation. A little of this product goes a long way – and it is easy to dispense just the right amount. I still have at least a third of the bottle left after two months of twice-daily use on most days.
