Perlier incorporates fresh Royal Jelly from African bees which are known to stimulate collagen production and give vital nutrients and anti-oxidative properties to the skin. Royal jelly, a.k.a bee’s milk is produced by the worker bees to feed their one and only royal highness, Queen Bee. And because Queen Bee is fed with top-of-the-line nutrition, she grows bigger and lives 40 times longer than her dedicated minions. Interestingly, during that lifespan, she will lay thousands of eggs each day.

Now going back to the nitty gritty of Perlier Honey Miel, I must say that I like the lightweight feel and consistency of this serum. It’s quite creamy yet gets absorbed onto the skin rather fast. Sometimes I mix this serum with my regular foundation to create my very own tinted moisturizer. Yeah I do it in days I don’t need much coverage. Another unique aspect of this serum is the micro- shimmer that’s barely noticeable to the naked eye. You know it’s there but people in general will think you are glowing from within. If I can tweak the ingredients of this serum, I would like it to be more on the natural side and get rid of unnecessary fillers. I’m sure Queen Bee the bee and Queen Bee the human will like it that way. Honest opinion from a minion.

Throughout the years, I’ve become more interested in skin care. I’ve tested a lot of products: from facial scrubs to at-home microdermabrasion tools. I’m still trying many new products because there are just so many out there! Every once in awhile I come across skin care products that are truly luxurious and worth the splurge. This serum is one of those.
About the Royal Elixir Facial Serum
This elixir is made with fresh Royal Jelly from African bees and organic Italian honey. It has anti-aging and toning properties. It helps aged skin look more youthful. It even helps alleviate signs of tiredness.
My thoughts
I’m still in my 20’s, so I don’t necessarily need anti-aging products for the purpose of making my skin look more youthful. I do, however, think it’s a good idea to use these types of products to keep my skin looking how it does. So, while I may not have what is considered mature skin yet, this serum is still great to use!
The packaging of this product is so luxurious. It’s very fancy! The bottle looks great sitting on my vanity. I was hoping the serum itself was as amazing as the packaging – and it is!
Consistency and Wear
The serum is not heavy at all. It’s thin and lightweight. I feel like it just sort of melts into my skin when I apply it. It doesn’t feel wet or greasy either. It has a bit of a glistening quality with very faint golden shimmer. You have to really look closely to see it and it just gives your skin a bright glow.

I’ve honestly skipped applying moisturizer on top of it because I’ve found that the Perlier Honey Miel Royal Elixir Face Serum provides just enough moisture. My skin feels baby smooth after using it. One time, my sister caught me running my fingers across my chin. She asked me if I had chin hairs. I responded, “No, I’m just feeling how soft my skin is.” She responded by rolling her eyes. Such a hater!
