Xenadrine Clear Reviews

Xenadrine Ultimate belongs to a range of weight loss supplements with natural ingredients to trigger metabolic processes for healthy weight loss. Or at least that’s what the Xenadrine website says about the products.

Xenadrine Review (2022 Updated) Legit or Just a Scam?

I’m always cautious when clients ask me about the latest and greatest supplement their friend or relative has recommended to help them lose weight.

One such product is Xenadrine Ultimate. When I started doing some research, I found that it’s actually part of a collection of weight loss products with different formulas for different goals.

It seemed like a great idea, so our team sat down with a dietitian, and we got a few clients to help us with some testing.

And we found a few surprises.

Anyway, we’re not here to just criticize this product. We actually don’t mind that MuscleTech has taken a different approach. The only thing we’re interested in, is whether it can compete with other fat burners at the same price range.

MuscleTech Xenadrine Clear Ingredients Explained

As we mentioned at the start of this review, MuscleTech Xenadrine Clear contains healthy fats instead of thermogenic nutrients. Now, some people do prefer taking this approach, so we’re not going to criticize it.

Personally, we prefer to supplement thermogenics; this is because it’s much harder to consume an optimal amount of thermogenic nutrients such as green tea catechins just by drinking green tea. On the other hand, you can consume healthy fats such as MCTs naturally by adding coconut oil to your diet.

Anyway, we’ll expand on this as we take you through each ingredient in MuscleTech Xenadrine Clear. By the end of this review, you’ll have a good idea of how safe and effective this fat burner really is.

Here Is Everything You Need To Know:

ALA (Alpha Linoleic Acid)

This is a compound that’s long been believed to induce fat loss while improving your energy levels. Not only that, but it’s also believed to help improve your blood pressure and energy health too.

Sounds pretty good, right? Well, while it might benefit your blood pressure levels, ALA hasn’t shown to work in enough clinical studies with regards to fat loss.

The studies that have shown promising results have used a massive 1,800mg dosage each time. It’s worth pointing out that there is only 400mg, so it wouldn’t really be effective anyway (in our honest opinion) [1]. The lowest dosage that showed positive outcomes was 800mg [2] – double the amount that’s in MuscleTech Xenadrine Clear.

As a result, while it might work to promote fat loss and improve your blood pressure levels, we’re not convinced that it will in the 400mg dosages in MuscleTech Xenadrine Clear.

Turmeric

You’ve most likely consumed Turmeric, whether you’re aware of it or not. It’s commonly used in Indian cooking, so if you have eaten curry before, you’ll have tried it already.

It’s one of the natural ‘superfoods’ that has shown promising results in studies in terms of improving your general health. You can’t really argue this fact.

However, since MuscleTech Xenadrine Clear is a fat burner, we’re only interested in whether it will help you lose fat or not.

The compound in Turmeric (Curcumin) is what has been researched; it has been believed that this is what might help combat obesity. However, the majority of the positive studies conducted used mice as the subjects and not humans.

In fact, one of the largest clinical studies on Turmeric concludes by stating that the optimal dosage of both Curcumin and Turmeric is currently unknown [3]. As a result, it’s difficult to say whether there is an effective amount in MuscleTech Xenadrine Clear to promote fat loss.

BioPerine

In case you’re wondering, this is basically a patented form of Black Pepper Extract. The active compound in this ingredient is Piperine, which has been shown to be able to improve your digestion and the absorption rate of other nutrients that it’s consumed with.

In fairness, we actually found a study that shows that Black Pepper Extract is able to work well with Curcumin [4]. This is most likely to reason why MuscleTech has added this combo into their fat burner, Xenadrine Clear.

However, while Black Pepper Extract works, there’s no knowing the optimal dosage of Curcumin at this point. And in all honesty, as Black Pepper Extract doesn’t directly induce fat loss, we consider it to be more of a ‘bonus’ ingredient.

Safflower Oil Seed Extract

Safflower Oil Seed Extract is used in fat burners due to it containing CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid).

However, it’s been found through a clinical study that Safflower Oil Seed Extract only contains a tiny amount of CLA per gram [5]; as MuscleTech Xenadrine Clear doesn’t even contain 1g of this ingredient, the amount of CLA is likely to be ineffective.

The only positive news is that Safflower Oil Seed Extract contains a good amount of Omega-6 fats. But in terms of fat loss, this isn’t a great addition to MuscleTech Xenadrine Clear; we would have preferred to have seen Green Tea Extract instead here.

Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs)

You’ll have heard about MCTs due to it being naturally found in coconut oil, which has become pretty mainstream. There have been studies noting that MCTs can promote fat loss, but not in the long term; these studies show promising results during the first week but not over long periods of time [6].

As a result, we consider this to be an unreliable addition to a fat burner supplement. A better option would be adding coconut oil to your diet if you’re desperate to consume MCTs.

Coffee Extract (200mg Caffeine)

Also known as Green Coffee Bean Extract, this is the best addition to MuscleTech Xenadrine Clear in our honest opinion. It’s shown to improve insulin sensitivity, which has shown to directly lead to an increased in fat loss [7].

The good thing is that MuscleTech has also used a form that’s been synthesized for caffeine too. This has resulted in 200mg caffeine being included in MuscleTech Xenadrine Clear, which is great; caffeine keeps your energy levels stable while you reduce your calorie intake in order to lose weight.

As a result, we definitely approve of this. As mentioned, we believe that Green Coffee Bean Extract is the best ingredient found in this fat burner.
