Meet Kay Jones: Alignment Coach, Herbalist, Pleasure Enthusiast, Entreprenuer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kay Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kay, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When starting SheOrgasms, I wanted to create a natural product that will bring the joy back in intimacy. In a world where all the sexual help was for men, I knew from personal experience, from friends, and associates that women could use a little attention as well. When I heard there were women who felt that sex was a chore, or that they didn’t come from vaginal penetration or that they no longer got wet because of their medications, I knew I had to create a lifetime product and not a quick fix. I have a deep desire to help women, to know they are experiencing the pleasure they deserve. Through SheOrgasms I am building confidence and saving marriages.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
When the idea of an herbal blend to help increase sexual pleasure came into my head I saw the end results first. The end result being ‘women receiving the pleasure they deserve by using my product’. I didn’t know exactly how it was going to manifest, but I knew it was going to be big. In the beginning I didn’t even know it would be supplements, I thought a tea would be best. I realized at that time in my life I wasn’t even consistent with drinking tea, but I was consistent with my vitamins. I followed my intuition, kept my faith and was very focused on getting to that end goal. I meditated every morning, and journaled about how much the product I created was increasing libido, energy, focus, mood, lubrication, sensitivity, and overall bliss. I journaled about how much I was making weekly from the sales, how my desired day went working, and I even wrote reviews that my future customers will genuinely write after trying the product. After a few months of that consistently, the idea of SheOrgasms was birthed. Once I was aligned myself internally with my external desires everything fell into place, came into my reality, and made the journey fairly easy. I started a second job to raise the funds to start SheOrgasms, and once I made my first 75 bottles, and they fell in the right hands. Word of mouth spread like wild fire. I put in the work and the universe provided all of my resources. One by one, showing up day by day. Treating everyone I encountered as a valuable resource, a teacher. That way I was able to get the advice I needed, the insight I was seeking, and the opportunities that I desired. My positive, loving energy built a solid circle of amazing women, and as a unit we are determined to impact the world. In moments of doubt and fear I would find myself thinking “No, this isn’t gonna work”, “No one is going to be comfortable taking supplements from a stranger.”, “People are going to judge me.” The ‘What if this”, and “What if that” began to flood me, and a wise person asked me ” Why are you jumping off the cliff before you even get to it. And that stuck with me. I was letting my mind trick me into thinking it was a bad idea and that I wasn’t ready. But I simply shifted my attention on to better thoughts and the path was finally illuminated again. This is what I’m most proud of, being able to control my mind and not let it control me. I overcame challenges with positivity, the choice to simply not let it bother me, and be calm enough to think of a promising solution. I talked with my friends and family for support. I took breaks when my body was tapped out, and I read a lot of self help books. When I realized my business can’t thrive if I’m not thriving. I must be mentally, physically, and emotional healthy. What sets SheOrgasms apart is my dedication, and the time and effort I put into myself and my business. Someone who truly wants to help women. A company that is for ALL women. I use quality herbs, products and people to ensure overall quality of anything that is under the SheOrgasms brand. I am most proud of the impact we’ve had on women, and the jobs we will be creating for more brown women in the community and within my family. So much is in store, and I can’t wait for more women to join the tribe! SheOG’s (Orgasm Girls) I want the world to know that you are deserving, sex should be satisfying and up-lifting. Women should feel beautiful, sexy and confident. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family because they allowed me to be myself my whole life, allowing my rebellious ways to create the necessary experiences needed to. be who I am today, Thanks for the love and patience with me. To my significant, Chad for showing me there is no ceiling to pleasure, and love can be pure and genuine. Sherlenia, Ashley and Christian for holding down SheOrgasms, helping her grow, and stand on a solid foundation. All of your help is so appreciated and helpful. My sister Brittany for being a listening ear for all of my ideas and creations. Providing me with honest feedback and genuine support. Rhian, DejaJoelle and Parker for being life coaches guiding me in the right direction and engaging in profound conversations. All my other friends and family that has been supportive To Source Energy, The Universe and God, thank you for all my blessings

Sometimes drugs are used as aphrodisiacs. Alcohol, marijuana, cocaine, amphetamines, and barbiturates, for example, help reduce or remove inhibitions and/or produce pleasurable feelings and sensations that could lead one to feel sexually aroused. However, instead of this intended outcome, decreased or no sexual response and functioning could occur, often when taking moderate or larger amounts, or from long-term usage. Dependency and other more serious harms can also result. In addition, people's judgment is often impaired, leaving them more vulnerable to sexual assault, as the recipient or perpetrator.

hi doc, quick question. my girlfriend of 3 yrs has very low sex drive. She does have high anxiety and work stress and has been on Cipromol (anti-dep meds). From a medical background, I know these meds, coupled with the stress is bad news for libido. She has been off the Cipromol for a few months but libido is stil low. When I do get her in the mood, she orgasms quickly and easily, but to get her initially aroused / get her in the mood is difficult.

any practical suggestions? Thoughts / suggestions on libido pills / homeopathic arousal supplements? any good brands from pharmacy or sex shop?

Pornography as an arousal method? She says she might like it.

Although aphrodisiacs are based more on cultural myths than fact, their allure continues to this day, as people still experiment with them to pep up their sex lives. Throughout history, people all over the world have tried certain foods, beverages, drugs, and chemicals in the hopes of being bestowed some magical aphrodisiac powers. The fact that some look similar to men's and women's genitals, or are even derived from animal sex organs, was no accident. Named after Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love, beauty, and fertility, aphrodisiacs are substances that supposedly elicit sexual desire and arousal, enhance sex drive and sexual “performance,” and extend sexual energy.

The following have been believed to be aphrodisiacs at one time or another:

Spanish Fly — the most famous reputed aphrodisiac of all
Made from ground up beetles of the Lytta vesicatoria species, its active ingredient, cantharidin:
irritates the bladder and urethra, causing increased blood flow to the genitals and sensations of warmth there, but can permanently scar urethral tissue and infect the genitourinary tract
may lead to an abnormally prolonged or constant erection (priapism) or an engorged vulva and vagina, both of which are often painful
can be poisonous or even fatal with prolonged use
oysters, clams, and other seafood resembling sex organs
ground rhinoceros horn
The term “horny” was apparently coined from this “sexual enhancer.”
bananas, celery, asparagus, and other phallic foods
honey
It's reminiscent of sweet vaginal fluid.
ginseng
chocolate (including green M&M's?)
strawberries and champagne
chilies, curries, and other spices and spicy foods
They make the heart beat faster and produce perspiration, which commonly occur during sex.
raw bull's testicles
Yohimbine — an extract from the bark of the West African yohimbe tree
Although more human research is needed, results from animal studies indicate that it may have the potential to be particularly helpful for men who have difficulties maintaining an erection. It's not as likely to enhance sexual arousal or desire.
According to a review by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), however, no purported aphrodisiac has been scientifically proven to be effective at meeting its claims. In fact, as in the case of Spanish Fly, some can be harmful and even potentially dangerous. It's also important to remember that, because aphrodisiacs, similar to other herbal supplements, are not regulated by the FDA, it can be hard to know exactly what you're getting when you pick up a bottle of “liquid love/lust” from your local sex shop. If you do decide to give store-bought aphrodisiacs a try, make sure you know enough about all the ingredients and buy from a company with which others have had good experience.

Another drug, amyl nitrate (a.k.a., “poppers”), apparently intensifies and prolongs sensations of orgasm, probably by increasing blood flow to the genitals and distorting time perception. But, it can also cause dizziness, severe headaches, unconsciousness, and a drop in blood pressure that could become dangerous.

Regardless of whether or not aphrodisiacs work, the power of suggestion, psychologically and emotionally, is key. If one believes using any particular substance, alleged aphrodisiac or not, will help enhance his or her sex life, and s/he is receptive to that longing, then it can help bring about sexual desire and arousal, at least in the short-term. Of course, a good night's sleep, time, privacy, confidence in your contraception, self-confidence, and a turned-on partner may do the same thing.
