Turkey neck refers to the sagging skin on the neckline. This occurs when the skin has lost its elasticity and collagen. As a result, saggy neck skin just dangles there and can promote ugly neck wrinkles as well. For this reason, anti-aging neck creams have been developed.

Products like Dermagist Neck Restoration Cream have been developed to lift and firm the appearance of the skin while stimulating moisture and relieving the look of wrinkles. You will want to elect a neck firming cream that offers these benefits so it can address all concerns associated with a turkey neck.

A detailed ingredients list is not published on the manufacturer’s website. According to the manufacturer of Dermagist Neck Restoration Cream, this product contains three key ingredients that help offer these benefits, and these ingredients have undergone clinical studies.

  1. Sesaflash®- is an ingredient that has been shown to lift and firm the skin so wrinkles are less visible.
  2. Hyaluronic Acid- Intended to diminish the appearance of wrinkles and provides moisture.
  3. Matrixyl®- Help diminish the look of wrinkles and lines, while promoting the production of collagen and elastin.

Although this neck cream contains beneficial ingredients, it is expensive. Dermagist Neck Restoration Cream retails for $99.00, which may be really expensive for some consumers when they can find other neck creams for less than $70 online. There are several neck creams online that retail for less than $70 and offer Buy 2, Get 1 Free Purchase Specials. Dermagist Neck Restoration Cream does not offer a Buy 2, get 1 Free deal to help customers save money. Instead, they can save money by enrolling in an auto-ship agreement. This may be a hassle for some customers whereas others may like it.

Major Concerns on Dermagist Neck Restoration Cream:

Our major concern was the cost of this neck cream and the fact that individuals must enroll in an AutoShip program in order to receive a savings offer. There is no Buy 2, Get 1 free deals offered and a single bottle costs $99. This is expensive when you can purchase neck creams for less than $70.

Our next concern is a detailed ingredients list was not provided on the manufacturer’s website for this product. We are unsure if this formula contains parabens as well. Please review the ingredients section on the product label before use.

What is it?

Dermagist is a beauty and skin-care company that offers three main lines of products: anti-aging creams and serums, acne-fighting creams and cleansers and daily maintenance products. Their skin-firming and moisturizing solutions use ingredients like peptides, cetearyl and sorbitan olivate, and Metahylate ®, their own proprietary compound, in order to achieve these claims.

They offer almost thirty different products, and tout amongst their best sellers:

  • Eye Revolution Gel.
  • Neck Restoration Cream.
  • The Phenomenon Dermal Filler.

Additionally, they promote several “systems,” combinations of products designed to achieve specific results. These include:

  • The Complete Rejuvenation System.
  • The Skin Tone Correcting System.
  • The Scar System for Acne-prone Skin.

Their products are designed to stimulate cellular regeneration and mask the appearance of wrinkles and other exterior markers of age. Many of their products such as the Phenomenon Dermal Filler are mainly for covering up or masking wrinkles and blemishes, but others do not attempt to target more underlying issues like collagen and elastin production.

Dermagist Ingredients and Side Effects

Dermagist only lists the ingredients for some of their products and it is always difficult to make an informed judgment without knowing exactly what goes into any given item.

Amongst their more commonly utilized ingredients you’ll find:

  • Metahylate: A compound developed by the people at Dermagist for use in their own products. Dermagist claims that it fills wrinkles and moisturizes skin cells with a variation of fermented hyaluronic acid.
  • Sesaflash: A topical tightening and smoothing agent made from hydrolyzed sesame proteins. It’s manufacturer’s website claims that it has a moisturizing effect that can last for up to four hours.
  • Matrixyl: An anti-wrinkle formula that is designed to help stimulate collagen synthesis. Matrixyl is a super-peptide derived from the combination of palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7 and palmitoyl oligopeptide that also claims to help with elastin production.
  • Cetearyl and sorbitan olivate: Derivatives of olive oil, these mild emulsifiers are used increase the skin’s moisture retention abilities.
  • Citrus aurantium dulcis fragrance: This is strictly a fragrance additive that has shown no cosmetic or health benefits. It appears in most of their products and lends them a citrusy fragrance.
  • Cetearyl Alcohol: A fatty alcohol used to stabilize a compound that has also shown some skin care benefits. Not to be confused with the more dangerous and damaging alcohols (like isopropyl) that are still found in some skin product despite their known side effects.
  • Shea butter: A common cosmetics additive that comes from the pulp of Shea tree nuts. It’s a triglyceride derived from stearic and oleic acid that’s known to absorb rapidly into the skin and act as a refattening agent.
  • Malus domestica fruit cell cultures: An expensive form of stem cells derived from an obscure breed of apple tree. Malus domestica cells promote the skin’s ability to self-renew and have been shown in clinical trials to be a highly effective ingredient in skin care products.

For products without ingredients lists, it’s not possible to truly determine their effectiveness or even their safety. Also there is no dosage strengths listed, making it difficult to determine the balance of higher-quality ingredients with more basic or “filler” substances.

Dermagist Quality of Ingredients

Many of the ingredients, such as the malus domestica stem cells are known to be high-quality skin care products that are found in leading brands. Shea butter is a traditional ingredient in many skin care products, and cetearyl olivate has a good reputation in the dermatological community.

Less is known about some of the other ingredients, however, and Dermagist offers little in the way of clinical trials to back up their claims, especially for newer chemicals like Metahylate. The recently-synthesized compound was developed for them in-house and has very little outside research to verify its effectiveness and safety.

Most reputable manufacturers will include complete ingredients lists and offer links to trials or studies that can provide evidence of their self-made compounds. Without such studies it is impossible to know how safe and effective all of their products are.

The Price and Quality of Dermagist

Dermagist products range from $28.79-$119.99 for one-time purchases, and prices start at $129.99 and go up from there for the “system” packages that bundle multiple products together. They offer price bonuses for larger quantities, and all products come with a 30-day satisfaction guarantee.

Additionally, Dermagist offers a “Replenish and Save” program that gives 35% off of any purchases that are made through an automatic reordering program that renews your supply every 90 days. These types of programs typically involve a cancellation fee if you want to opt-out of the program, however the Dermagist website does not mention what their policy is or how much they will charge if you no longer want to continue paying for their products.

Business of Dermagist

The company’s full name is Dermagist, Inc. and their contact information is:

Phone Number: (888) 771-5355

Address: 1562 Park Lane South, Suite 700

Jupiter, FL, 33458

If customers are unsatisfied with their products they can return them within 30 days for a full refund of the purchase price, however they do still have to pay for shipping on the return. Some customers have reported having to pay for an extra order of products after cancellation, but again no official information about ending the auto-enroll programs is available.

There are several warning signs about Dermagist, Inc. online. They currently have an “F” rating at the Better Business Bureau, and Ripoff Report lists accounts of hidden charges accompanying returns under the guise of “restocking fees.” The company used to be called “Dermajuv,” however it appears that they may have changed names due to negative reviews and reports associated with that brand.

Multiple sites offer less than favorable assessments of both Dermajuv’s products and their customer service policies. It is difficult to tell if there are currently any pending lawsuits against Dermagist or Dermajuv.

There are many threats from customers claiming that they will be taking legal action against the companies.

EDITOR’S TIP: For the best results, our experts recommend using anti-aging creams for at least 3 months. Save your money by buying a few bottles at once.

Customer Opinions of Dermagist

Customer reviews online are mixed, with the majority of positive reviews coming from the Dermagist website itself. Some of those accounts include quotes like:

“My skin texture has improved and feels more hydrated. I still haven’t noticed any changes in my wrinkles though.”

“I have very sensitive skin and this product causes no issues.”

“This made some of my wrinkles disappear, however my color spots remain unchanged.”

Reviews from other websites were not always as positive. Quite a few reviews online start with the title “Fraud!” or “Do Not Fall For This Scam!” and include some quotations like:

“Product did not work, and despite the money-back guarantee I still had to pay a restocking fee.”

“Do not buy. The before and after photos were stolen from other websites and the cream doesn’t work.”

“I didn’t see a change in my skin texture and I ended up returning the products.”

“I tried it despite the bad smell, but it just made my acne worse.”

Given the results of these reviews, it’s difficult to assess the true effectiveness of Dermagist’s products. Given the high variance in skin types, it’s possible that Dermagist’s effectiveness is conditional on your specific needs, however there is no information available from their website about what may account for the disparity in reviews.

Conclusion – Does Dermagist Work?

Dermagist is marketed as a complete care system for whatever needs your skin may have, from age-related damage, to acne, to regular daily maintenance. Their products use a core group of ingredients, some of which are known to be top-of-the-line additives that also appear in other top brands, such as apple stem cells, advanced peptide chains, and Shea butter extracts.

They also include other ingredients that are less-tested. Combined with the fact that many products ingredients aren’t listed at all, this makes it difficult to determine their quality based solely on the information that they provide. The quantity of unfavorable reviews online is also an issue.

Given all this, our researchers do not feel that they can recommend Dermagist to our readers. Our experts have reviewed a wide variety of skin care products and their research suggests the top overall anti-aging creams are from Kremotex. Their products are both fast working and improve skin health long-term by boosting collagen production rather than just masking imperfections. The vitamins and antioxidants in Kremotex both reverse pre-existing damage and prevent further aging and decay.

Their website also includes testimonials and before and after pictures from actual Kremotex customers. Their anti-wrinkle cream was voted “Best Anti-Wrinkle Cream 2022” in an online poll, and they have no complaints with their customer service policies. Dermagist is a rippoff and buying it is throwing your hard earned money away. I purchased two bottles and with just using it one time I woke up in the morning with two swollen eyes. There are a lot of people that had the same or similar reactions to the eye gel. This company is failing to let people with sensitive skin know that the product may not work but cause harm to them. They wanted to give me credit instead of refunding my money so I disputed the charges and the credit card company sided with them because I did not send the product back to them right away. I reported them to the BBB and the Complaint Board. On their web site I don’t think the positive reviews are from real customers. I posted a negative review of my experience and it never show up on the site, so that is very suspicious in itself. I going to have to take the loss because they offered me other products as store credit but I declined to accept it. Buyer beware, you have been warned.

This product DOES NOT WORK! Dermagist charges allot of money for this eye gel and it does not work as advertised. I used this product for 30 days as per the instructions and it did absolutely nothing. In fact I have purchase products at the local drug store for a third of the cost an gotten better results. They give you a 30 day guarantee but the product takes a week to get to you which means you have approximately 23 days which is about 3/4 of the contents of a bottle for this stuff to work. This is just a ploy to avoid refunding your hard earned money when this product doesn’t work. Save your money there are far better products for less than half the cost.

I bought eye revolution and I called the web site its states if you can not use the product for what ever reason your money would be refunded , I talked to a young man and he said its their policy that I would only get store credit, My eyes burned every time I used it so its more likely other products would probably do the same So I feel that I should have gotten a refund not store credit I am so disappointed that they do not stand behind their store policy

Purchased Dermagist – it does absolutely nothing – I called the company for a refund – they refused a refund but sent me a credit to buy more products – why would I want more of their products – I contacted my credit card company – They refunded my account and debited dermagist – HOORAH – I won that battle –

I purchased 2 bottles of the Eye Revolution from Dermagist. The product did not work, leaving a gloppy, sticky mess under my eyes. Weeks later I wast astounded when notified that another order was on its way. I called the company to cancel this order, and they informed me that they give store credit only, no true refunds. When I complained that I did not request another order, the sales person claimed that the information about recurring orders was clearly stated on their website. However, it must be buried among their voluminous pages. Customers must sign a Return of Merchandise form essentially releasing them of any responsibility for reimbursement, and is necessary to cancel the order. BUYER BEWARE!
BUYER BEWARE! BUYER BEWARE! BUYER BEWARE! BUYER BEWARE!

does the foot & heel cream give anyone else foot & leg cramps?

I love the neck cream. It works great. I have more products on the way. Really believe in the Dermagist line of products. Thank you.

I have been using dermagist for two years and have gotten many compliments on my skin, I have never had a problem with shipping or customer service nor have I had any bad reactions to the ingredients.

11 Best Neck Creams to Firm Skin, According to Skincare Pros

best neck creams

You already know wearing moisturizer and SPF daily on your face is important for keeping skin healthy and youthful, but sun and environmental damage can affect other parts of your body, too — like your neck. The skin on your neck is 50% thinner than that on your face and more prone to lines and looseness. And daily habits can have an effect, too: Laxity of the neck skin is happening earlier than ever thanks to “tech neck” from looking at our phones repeatedly, says Dendy Engelman, M.D., a dermatologist in New York City.

Dr. Engelman says prevention is key and you can use products like moisturizers that help thicken and strengthen the skin against signs of aging. Seek out neck-specific treatments to help prevent and minimize signs of aging on your neck and décolleté (the say a good night cream works, too).

Good Housekeeping Institute Beauty Lab scientists evaluate neck creams and treatments both in the Lab using technical instruments and on consumer testers. In the Lab, experts used over 200 before-and-after images taken with high-resolution professional photography to measure each product’s ability to improve the look of fine lines and wrinkles on the neck and lift and tighten neck skin over 12 weeks of use. Consumer testers also used the label-masked products at home for 12 weeks and rated them on factors like texture, irritation, scent, absorption, hydration effects, and look and feel of skin after use. In total, GH Beauty Lab scientists tallied 901 data points to find the winners.
