untouchable

By Sammy on Jan 14, 2022

I have 4 dogs weighing between 10-163 lbs, 4 different breeds. 2 of them will not even touch this , the other 2 may “accidentally” ingest some when hidden in their food but the remaining pieces are systematically pushed out if the bowl. Wish it worked for us.

He takes it

By RustysMom on Dec 23, 2021

Rusty is taking the pills daily and they do not have to be camoed with peanut butter like the others. I think he is getting up better so I believe these are working to help limber him up.

Tippy baby

Our retriever doesn’t like the taste so we chop and mix with her canned food. She has a torn ACL that has improved since starting this product

Phycox chews

By Jake on Dec 3, 2021

They seemed like they had been around awhile. Very hard, not soft!!

Didn’t work for my pup

By Redbug on Nov 30, 2021

I was previously giving my dog Zesty Paws hip and joint support and switched to this which was veterinarian recommended. After 2-3 weeks on Phycox, my dog’s limp was much worse and more pronounced than it had been in months (when she was taking the Zesty Paws). Could be coincidental that the limp is just getting worse, but I’m at least going back to ZP to see if it helps again.

Belly issues

Seems like it is causing some stomach upset. Nothing major just acid reflux.

Chewy & Phycox

By Chan on Oct 21, 2021

My vet recommended Phycox as a supplement for my Lab. I found the best price at Chewy! Fast shipping also with Chewy on this and everything I have ordered. Check with them if your vet recommended any meds or supplements or specialty foods for your pets.

Helpful for relief

Still using product but so far, we’re pleased. Tried several other products this one seems better

Great product

By Jameson on Oct 7, 2021

My dog, Jameson, is a mastiff mix puppy who has been going through growing pains. My vet recommended this brand and even gave us some. The results were incredible! He has not shown any signs of pain since we’ve been giving them to him and I’ve no need to give him any painkillers. However, it is hard to get him to eat them, hence the 4 star review. Though I must say, crushing them up by hand and mixing it with his wet food covers the flavor enough for him to eat most of it. I do recommend this brand, it’s very high quality; but it’s hard to get dogs to eat the chews without covering up the flavor and the chew entirely.

I take this for hip dysplasia. After 4 weeks, I am moving much better. Mom says she hasn’t seen me play like this in awhile!

Phycox is a great joint supplement. My dog was experiencing joint pain, but now he just flows like water.

The chews are soft and liver-flavored so that your dog is more likely to eat them without complaint. Administer during regular feeding or right after, and make sure your dog ingests the whole thing.

If your dog is a picky eater I might be as issue to eat it at first, but they will learn to like them. If you dog is food driven, they’ll love them.

PSCH Phycox Max 90 Count Canine Soft Chews

We got the first round of PhyCox from my dogs vet. I was glad to see we can purchse them on Amazon. The vet seems to have a problem keeping it in stock.

My dog was 14 when we started the treatment at that point he was barely able to go up the street and back again for a walk, couldn’t make it up our stairs and had issues standing for even a short amount of time. After a month on Phycox he could walk the whole neighborhood and people are shocked to find out he is his 15 years old. He acts like he is 8 years old. He can do stairs now without a problem . He still get a dose twice a day and my other 9 year old dogs gets it at least once a day.

The tablets are a bit greasy. I ‘d recommend putting a small amount of flour in the container and shaking it up (with the lid on) to cover the tablets. Do this a bit at a time till it covers them to avoid using too much flour. I’ve found this works really well at keeping your fingers cleaner and the dogs won’t notice it.

It seems to make a difference in the mobility of my German Shepherd. He has trouble using his left foot when getting up from extended rest period. We have been using the product for about one month and may have to give it more time

update on 8/19/17:
we had good results with Phycox but when trying to re-order, I noticed that the ingredient dosage is different in the various products.
I have Phyco MAX be Dechra, And it has different amounts of active ingredient than the Phyco MAX by PSCH – I am confused but would like to stay with the first product since I had good results. My dog weighs about 100 lbs.

If your did is having joint issues this is a LIFE saver. A couple of years ago my shepherd would not get up. Just laid there crying and yelped when I tried to lift her

A very emotional visit to the vet ensued where I was told the (relatively) good news that it might just be old age catching up to her joints and recommended this type of medication.

I have great vets who don’t push products or unnecessary procedures so I asked her “what would YOU use”. She said she gave her own dog phycox so trying it was a no brainer. She back to jumping off and onto beds in a couple of months and two years later this is still the only medication I will use for her

There are other products out there but I will never change brands. We forgot her medication on vacation and picked up a “top rated” medicine from the local petstore- I could immediately tell the difference and couldn’t wait to get her back on her normal meds

Not only is it effective it’s easy to give them. She chews them like treats, she doesn’t spit them out like she did with the medicine we had to pick up
on vacation She’s 13 now and still takes them daily and is excited to get her morning “treat”. Here she is eagerly awaiting her medicine

Blue-green algae are a rich source of phytonutrients including Phycocyanin, a biliprotein that has scientifically demonstrated health benefits. They PhyCox patented process produces a highly concentrated source of Phycocyanin, offering strong joint support and relief of discomfort in two ways:

1. Proven Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) Inhibition: Numerous studies demonstrate the high concentrations of Phycocyanin found in PhyCox specifically inhibit the COX-2 enzyme, blocking the synthesis of inflammatory eicosanoids, the natural mediators of imflammation in the body.

2. Dynamic Antioxidant: Phycocyanin has powerful free radical scavenging properties. It can help enhance the body’s defense against the degradative effects of free radicals that cause cellular damage and play a role in a host of degenerative conditions in dogs.

The most common form of stiff joints is a degenerative joint disease that is far more common than rheumatoid stiff joints. It is characterized by the deterioration of articular cartilage and the formation of new bone in the subchondral areas and at the margins of the joint. The cartilage slowly degenerates and as the bone ends become exposed, small bumps of new osseous tissue are deposited on them. These bumps decrease the space in the bone cavity and restrict joint movement.
