Nugenix Maxx Review

Male testosterone levels raise up until around age 28, where they’ll plateau and eventually start to decline in the years thereafter – sadly this is just a fact of life. With lowering testosterone levels comes a host of negative effects, such as lowered energy levels, decreased sex drive, erectile dysfunction, and overall a lack of virility.

While it is true that decreasing testosterone levels is unavoidable for men, there are products out there that can help slow the decline, and even help top up your testosterone levels.

Nugenix is a brand you’ve probably seen on TV and on the shelves of most good supplement stores; the brand specializes of testosterone boosting supplements specifically and offers a wide range to choose from (all of which seemingly promise the same thing).

One product of theirs, Nugenix Maxx, promises to be the best of the best, and the absolutely strongest bar none – while that sounds good, is it actually true?

In this Nugenix Maxx review, we’re taking an in-depth look into the formula to establish what we believe consumers can really expect from this popular test booster.

Another multi-faceted herb included in Nugenix Maxx is Shilajit, in the specific commercially available form of PrimaVie. It is also been used for thousands of years in traditional medicine, and now research is confirming long-held beliefs about its benefits.

About Nugenix Maxx

Nugenix Maxx is created by perhaps the most popular male-supplement makers out there, Nugenix. They produce a variety of supplements, including Nugenix GH-Boost, and Nugenix Maxx is designed to be their most potent product. They claim it is an all-around testosterone booster that uses clinically-dosed ingredients of many of the best ingredients in the world for boosting T. Nugenix Maxx is designed to boost levels of free and total testosterone more than any other product out there, thus putting it “alone atop the pinnacle of male performance.” Sounds intriguing so far, hey?

Nugenix MAXX Testosterone Booster Review // Is It Different?

My Nugenix MAXX Testosterone Booster First Look:

This takes the baton from where the other testosterone boosters that are available from Nugenix should have finished off.

In my opinion a manufacturer should not release 3, 4 or even 5 testosterone booster products.

One product, if done properly is all that is required.

The correct ingredients, all scientifically proven in one supplement is the dream and what we are after.

There are too many supplements with barely anything in them that is known to stimulate testosterone and sales are based upon product packaging alone.

This wouldn’t be one of those products because is doesn’t scream at you that this is a testosterone booster.

In fact you’d be forgiven for not noticing it at all.

That said, this number of ingredients has people talking, and that chattering is coming from the gym floor, so I want to know how it compares to the best natural test boosters.

BioPerine

The extract of piperine, called BioPerine® in the patented form, has been clinically tested in the United States.

BioPerine® significantly enhances the bioavailability of various supplement nutrients through increased absorption.

Agaricus Bisporus

White button mushrooms to you and me, these are seen to be a aromatase inhibitor, therefore they reduce the production of estrogen which can maintain a higher testosterone level.

If a man suffers from too much estrogen they can get bitch tits – puffy nipples.

Panex (Korean) Ginseng

This form of Ginseng is the most highly researched.

There’s lots of evidence which suggest cognitive function, mood and immunity is increased, however, although there is evidence for better erections and an increase in testosterone production for infertile men.

Root

This Peruvian strain of ginseng is great for lifting libido and mood, however, when it comes to raising testosterone levels it has no effect at all.

No significant influences on testosterone in any tested demographic I’m afraid.

Rhodiola rosea

Can protect against cognitive deficits, neuronal injury and oxidative stress, can also be used as a potential agent in treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. This is found in our favorite Nootropic.

Tongkat Ali

Eurycoma (LongJack) is a pro-fertility agent and aphrodisiac that appears to have a large body of evidence supporting this role and some evidence suggesting it may be an anti-estrogen and pro-erectile agent.

However, there is a lack of evidence for testosterone boosting in humans, although some very limited evidence in animals.

Primavie (Shilajit Extract)

This is a fulvic acid found in the Himalayas. Actual medical research is low, it has been banded around for years in the East though.

It seems it can help boost the immune system, fend off lethargy and also assist with altitude sickness.

It seems there is no harm in taking it and it seems to have a fair amount of benefits, and has been noted to increasing testosterone levels in infertile men but as there has only been one human study it is unsure whether it will increase testosterone levels in fertile men.

On other thing to note is that there is a warning in place for shilijat due to the amount of additives being added to supplements and in some cases metals have been found, as such sales are now banned in Canada due to concerns.

Ashwagandha (Withania Somnifera)

Studies have shown that treatment with Ashwagandha root extract resulted in a higher level of testosterone and a concomitant increase in serum levels of LH among infertile men having sub-optimal testosterone levels.

It’s difficult to see if the same result would be found with guys who do not have any fertility issues.

So the question is, are you infertile?

If you’ve been banging your missus (or even your mistress, we shouldn’t be even talking if you have smashed your sister) unprotected and have miraculously not had a sprog you probably are infertile…sorry to break that to you, bro.

Tribulus

Once again, the old tribulus raises its ugly head.

The problem is that because this has been touted about for so long as a bit of a miracle plant extract used by the mysterious Eastern Bloc Olympic Athletes during the Cold War.

People have started to believe the hype and it is an easily recognizable ingredient the ill informed will have heard about down the gym.

The issue is that it has not been scientifically proven to raise testosterone levels in any shape or form.

In fact, in studies using elite professional Australian rugby players as participants Tribulus did not produce the large gains in strength or lean muscle mass that many manufacturers claim can be experienced.

Avoid like a medieval plague if you are looking for muscular gainz.

Fenugreek Seed (Trigonella Foenum-Graecum)

It is claimed by researchers that fenugreek works to increase testosterone or androgen levels, which decrease as you age.

Zinc

Studies show that this has a link with healthy testosterone production.

Vitamin D3

Vitamin D is a great Testosterone boosting vitamin that must be taken advantage of to trigger further production of Testosterone in your body.

However, there are two types of Vitamin D.

There’s calciferol (vitamin D2) and cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) – we are only interested in cholecalciferol which is D3; this is the type our skin synthesizes from the sun and becomes a hormone which results in the increases in our testosterone.

Research by the US Library of Medicine has shown that testosterone productions are increased with Vitamin D3 supplementation.

We are instructed to take up to 4 pills daily which is favorable.

It would be best just to spread the 4 over the course of the day from the start to ensure your body gets a constant source of nutrients to stimulate testosterone production as with the best testosterone boosters.

This product tells us to take all 4 pills at once in the morning.

A daily dose of 4 pills is 2570.02mg.

There are 5 beneficial ingredients included in this testosterone booster.

However, considering this is called ‘MAXX Testosterone’ you’d be forgiven for thinking that all of the 12 ingredients would be effective and offer testosterone stimulating benefits. Not so it seems.

Of the ones that do work they are often found in the best testosterone boosters available.

D3, Zinc, Fenugreek and Ginseng are great contributors to higher natural testosterone levels.

White button mushroom is not seen quite as often.

There are 12 ingredients, yet only 5 are good for increasing testosterone levels or protecting them against higher levels of estrogen.

Bioperine helps the body absorb the useful ingredients.

However, then we are offloaded a shit storm of unproven, ineffective ingredients.

Want to know what else will sting you? The $169.99 price tag! Yep, you could almost buy a Tag (Heuer) for that..well maybe a counterfeit.

I am still reeling from that price tag…for essentially 5 effective ingredients when better product will have 8 or 9 that all work in conjunction to help stimulate testosterone.

It is also important to remember that Shilajit has been banned for sale in Canada.

Nugenix MAXX Testosterone Booster Review Conclusion:

So, all in all the only Nugenix Maxx thing about this testosterone booster is the price!

Yes at $169.99 this is about 3 times the price of much better supplements.

Yet it only contains about as half as much effective ingredients.

That seems like a bad deal and it really doesn’t live up to its name unless it means MAXX rip-off.

In some cases, those studies center on a link between particular vitamin and mineral deficiencies and incidences of low testosterone. Others look specifically at effects on sexual health, often in mice or on strength training in men with extensive resistance training experience.
