Kaprex Reviews

Every year, an estimated 16,500 arthritis patients die from gastrointestinal damage due to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). These drugs are responsible for 103,000 hospitalizations per year. The newer prescription non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, Vioxx and Celebrex, were purported to be advancements because they did not damage the gastrointestinal lining. As it turns out, those claims were false; long-term use of these medications can indeed produce gastrointestinal toxicity.

These medications are primarily prescribed for relieving the pain associated with osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Other medications that are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs include ibuprofen and aspirin. These are available without prescription and carry the same risk of side effects. People often use these medications for a variety of aches and pains, including headaches and menstrual cramps.

Kaprex reviews

Kaprex™ is a new natural plant-derived supplement that rapidly and effectively relieves pain and inflammation without causing adverse side effects. Kaprex is the first natural product to be manufactured utilizing state-of-the-art proteomic evaluation. This process is a revolutionary advancement in the production of dietary supplements, which leads to formulation of products scientifically validated to be safe and effective.

The value of Kaprex is its combination of effectiveness and safety. There are other natural pain-relievers and anti-inflammatory formulas that are safe but Kaprex has been found to be 250% more effective than the best of these products. On the other hand, there are anti-inflammatory medications that are powerful and fast-acting, but these have adverse side effects. Kaprex has been found to be as potent as the medications but does not have the same toxic side effects.

Every year, an estimated 16,500 arthritis patients die from gastrointestinal damage due to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Both the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and Kaprex work by reducing the concentration of a body chemical called prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), but they do so through different mechanisms. PGE2 is a powerful hormone-like chemical that is responsible for producing the majority of the pain and inflammation associated with arthritis and other conditions.

The non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs reduce levels of PGE2 by inhibiting the activity of the enzyme that manufactures it. Unfortunately, not only is PGE2 production reduced in joints but it is also reduced in gastrointestinal and other tissues. A certain level of PGE2 is necessary to keep gastrointestinal tissues healthy. When PGE2 is deficient, ulceration can occur. What’s more, effects on related compounds in the blood can increase blood clotting and lead to problems. NSAIDs can also worsen kidney disease.

Kaprex works through a safer, “upstream” mechanism. It reduces the excessive formation of the PGE2-producing enzyme, rather than inhibiting its activity. It does this at the gene level. It appears to actually reduce the message to the genes to manufacture the enzyme! This makes all the difference in production of side effects. The net effect is that Kaprex is active in joint tissues without affecting the gastrointestinal tract. Kaprex has been tested in a model cell system to assess its potential for negative impact on the gastrointestinal lining. It was found to be very safe. Actually, one of the ingredients in Kaprex has been found to improve healing of gastric ulcers in animals.

The way Kaprex was developed is fascinating and represents a breakthrough in nutritional supplement formulation. First, more than 150 various natural compounds with evidence of anti-inflammatory activity were selected to be screened for in-vitro (test tube) influence on inflammatory chemical formation. Three outstanding compounds were singled out for further testing. These were a hops extract, rosemary extract, and oleanolic acid from olive leaf. These three compounds were tested in different combinations and a specific ratio was found to produce significant synergy. Synergy is the phenomenon of the combination of multiple agents producing a greater effect than the sum of the effects of the individual components. The proprietary formulation found in Kaprex was found to be 50% more powerful than the sum of the individual ingredients.

Next, a study was done to make sure Kaprex was absorbable and bioavailable. Six subjects were supplemented on different days with one Kaprex, three Kaprex, or one Celebrex. Their blood was drawn prior to dosing and at 1, 2, 4, 6, and 8 hours after dosing. The blood samples were analyzed for their ability to reduce PGE2 levels in a cell model system. Kaprex worked quickly and maintained effectiveness through 6 hours, with activity beginning to decrease at 8 hours. One tablet of Kaprex appeared to be as effective as one capsule of Celebrex and worked more rapidly. As would be expected, three tablets of Kaprex produced a significantly greater effect than did one tablet.

The final type of research conducted with Kaprex to date, is human case studies. Three representative cases have been published, although Kaprex has been used by thousands of people. Kaprex was found to produce powerful relief of pain and stiffness associated with osteoarthritis. The dosage used ranged from 1 pill three times daily to 2 pills twice daily.

Several beneficial “side effects” have been found to be fairly common with Kaprex use. These include reduction in hot flashes and night sweats and a lowering of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) levels. Hs-CRP, an inflammatory protein, is an independent cardiovascular disease risk factor and is associated with other conditions including obesity and diabetes.

Kaprex use has also been found to be associated with a reduction in urinary levels of n-telopeptides – compounds derived from bone. N-telopeptides are routinely measured to assess a person’s rate of bone-loss. The greater the amount of n-telopeptides found in the urine, the more quickly the bones are breaking down. Inflammation does indeed spur bone-loss, so it is not surprising that Kaprex should reduce bone breakdown.

“I tried taking Kaprex on the advice of a friend but I immediately developed intense intestinal pain and some other more embarrassing symptoms. I quit taking it and they went away, so I never touched the stuff again.

What is it?

Metagenics Kaprex is a unique daily joint health and pain relief supplement. Their proprietary blend addresses minor joint pain not just by reducing inflammation, as most traditional joint supplements do, but by stimulating a specific kind of immune response in the body with chemicals known as Selective Kinase Response Modulators (SKRMs). Their advertising claims that this approach is safe and effective for both short- and the long-term consumption and that it also has the benefit of increasing cardiovascular, digestive, renal, and hepatic health.

Our panel of nutrition and wellness experts has an ongoing study that rates over the counter joint health supplements, and currently they believe that Flexitrinol is the most effective product on the market for improving joint wellness. Their tests measure flexibility, ease of motion, and reduction of pain levels, and Flexitrinol has scored the highest overall so far. Metagenics Kaprex Ingredients and Side Effects
Tetrase Rosemary Oleanolic Acid

Tetrase: A chemical extract derived from the flowers of the hops plant. Hops are traditionally used to make beer or as a flavoring agent in other food products, however it has also been used medicinally by some cultures.

There is very little clinical data surrounding the medicinal use of tetrase and at this point in time all health effects are mostly speculative, however a recent study did find that it might have some anti-inflammatory properties. In the past it has been used to treat anxiety, insomnia, restlessness, tension, excitability, ADHD, increased urine flow and high cholesterol, but there is insufficient data to say for sure what role in those treatments it actually had.

There is no data about the health effects of long-term tetrase consumption. In the short term there is a possibility that it may worsen depression in some cases, so it is best avoided by any consumers with a history of depression.

Tetrase may also increase or unbalance estrogen production, so individuals with hormone issues and sensitivities should avoid taking supplements with it in them. Tetrase may also worsen certain conditions like breast cancer and endometriosis, and it should be avoided by pregnant or breast-feeding women.

Rosemary: Traditionally a flavoring agent in food products and an additive in potpourris, soaps, and perfumes. There is insufficient evidence that rosemary works for any specific medical conditions, however it has been used by some cultures to treat hair loss, gas, coughs, and toothaches.

Rosemary is safe for most people in moderate doses, however it can become toxic if consumed in larger amounts. Side effects that could potentially be associated with rosemary consumption include:

  • Vomiting
  • Uterine bleeding
  • Kidney irritation
  • Increased sun sensitivity
  • Skin redness
  • Allergic reactions

Oleanolic Acid: A compound found in olive oil that has been shown to have laxative properties and may also help treat high cholesterol and high blood pressure. Some people have attempted to use it in the treatment of some inflammatory conditions, however there is little to no data that supports this application scientifically. Side effects of oleanolic acid consumption include:

  • Repertory difficulty
  • Diarrhea
  • Diabetes complications

There are no studies regarding the long-term effects of daily oleanolic acid consumption. Pregnant or nursing women should not consume oleanolic acid.

EDITOR’S TIP: Combine this supplement with a proven joint pain pill such as Flexitrinol for better results.

Metagenics Kaprex Quality of Ingredients

Metagenics Kaprex utilizes a highly unorthodox proprietary formula, especially for a joint health supplement. It totally ignores most traditional joint health medications and instead focuses on a brand-new chemical that attacks the problem differently.

Many joint health supplements make anti-inflammatory agents part of their supplement blend because of their ability to reduce the pain and stiffness that is caused by old and damaged connective tissue. The way traditional additives like boron, boswellia, and bromelain work is by blocking the inflammation-causing agent TNF (Tumor Necrosis Factor).

The way Metagenics Kaprex’s lead active ingredient tetrase reduces inflammation is through stimulating a group of enzymes called SKRM’s, which are a part of the body’s immune response.

The science of how effective this approach is overall is still new, though it has some potential to be at least somewhat successful. It remains to be seen if it is more effective or less effective at reducing inflammation than traditional TNF blockers, and there are no studies about the long-term health effects of consuming tetrase on a daily basis.

What Metagenics Kaprex is missing are any ingredients that might actually improve joint health. While tetrase and rosemary could potentially reduce the symptoms of inflammation there is no indication that they might increase collagen production, improve cartilage or synovial fluid health, or do anything to strengthen or repair the ligaments, tendons, bones, and other tissues that make up our connective system.

The Price and Quality of Metagenics Kaprex

Metagenics Kaprex is available for purchase through their website for these suggested prices:

  • 1 20-count bottle ofMetagenics Kaprexsoftgels: $21.25
  • 1 60-count bottle ofMetagenics Kaprexsoftgels: $56.25

At first glance that seems to be relatively on par with the average joint health supplement, until you factor in that they are indicated for a two-pill-per-day dosage, which means once shipping and handling are factored in Metagenics Kaprex costs over two dollars a day – nearly double the cost of most average joint health supplements.

Business of Metagenics Kaprex

Metagenics Kaprex is manufactured by Metagenics, a health wellness and nutrition sciences company. They list their contact information as:

Phone Number: (800) 692-9400

Address: 25 Enterprise #200

Aliso Viejo, CA 92656

It should be noted that Metagenics currently has an “F” rating with the Better Business Bureau based on their history of making misleading or false claims about the medicinal effects of their products. They’ve also been sued a number of times for the same reason, as well as in a case allegedly that they knowingly used toxic fish in the production of their fish oil capsules.

Customer Opinions of Metagenics Kaprex

Some of the reviews for Mutagenic Kaprex found online are very positive, however other customers are frustrated with their experiences for a variety of reasons. Here is a sample of some of the criticisms found online:

“I assumed that since it was so expensive it must be good, but I was sorely mistaken – emphasis on the sore.”

“I tried taking Kaprex on the advice of a friend but I immediately developed intense intestinal pain and some other more embarrassing symptoms. I quit taking it and they went away, so I never touched the stuff again.

“This was a total waste of my money – lots of my money.”

The most frequent complaints were regarding the price and the effectiveness of Metagenics Kaprex, however there were also some complaints of side effects, mostly gastro-intestinal in nature.

Conclusion – Does Metagenics Kaprex Work?

Given the highly experimental nature of the ingredients of Metagenics Kaprex and the mixed nature of the customer reviews found online, it is difficult to say if any given user will experience benefits or not. If they do, it seems most likely that the benefits will be of an anti-inflammatory nature with possible reductions to joint pain and stiffness.

Their products are indicated on the bottle and in their advertising for joint health specifically, however that is a somewhat confusing designation given that there is nothing in Metagenics Kaprex that works to improve collagen production, cartilage health, or joint repair and functionality specifically.

Traditional joint health supplements will use ingredients like glucosamine, chondroitin, and MSM that actually help stimulate the biological processes that lubricate, cushion, and reinforce joint tissues so that they do not become irritated and inflamed to begin with.

It may be most effective to pair Metagenics Kaprex with a basic glucosamine and chondroitin supplement that also contained some more traditional TNF-blocking anti-inflammatories. Given the already exceptionally high price tag on Metagenics Kaprex, however, many consumers would find that option to be somewhat cost prohibitive.

Lastly, given the untested nature of Metagenics Kaprex’s ingredients, especially when it comes to long-term health effects, users are warned that they take these supplements at their own risk and the potential for conditions to arise after prolonged usage is always a possibility.

Our experts currently have Flexitrinol ranked as their most effective joint health supplement available without a prescription. Flexitrinol performed the best in their trials measuring flexibility, range of motion, and pain reduction, and has proven to be safe for nearly all users. Kaprex works! I’ve used it for over 10 years and suffered no ill effects whatsoever. When I use i, I’m pain free. If I don’t, I have achy knees. I’m a believer in Kaprex!

Kaprex and Omega 3 were given to me by a top notch doctor at Scripps many years ago when RA had hit me so hard I was close to being crippled. After a couple years of taking only those two items and no prescription drugs for RA, I have no pain, no deformities (which another doctor warned I would have if I didn’t take the prescription meds he prescribed) and after two years I live my life as if I don’t even have RA. Each person is different, but I was saved from life in a wheelchair like my brother with RA and who was on prescription meds and suffered many side effects til his death.

How Does Kaprex Work?

The formula is a dietary supplement that provides you with a safe alternative joint pain relief. Kaprex is formulated with a proprietary blend of herbal extracts, including rosemary purported to influence kinase signaling.

The supplement also alleviates pain without severely affecting your liver, heart, or kidneys. According to Kaprex reviews, the formula also provides you with an all-natural joint pain relief product by allowing a selective kinase response modulator.

You must protect your joints in order to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle in retirement. To provide joint relief, you should use joint relief pills that include natural and scientifically-backed components.

The following are some of the main elements included in the Kaprex supplement:

TetrasteM-A bitter chemical isolated from the hop plant, Tetrase possesses anti-inflammatory characteristics and influences kinase signaling, according to research.

Rosemary Extract is a herbal extract made from an evergreen plant with needle-like leaves that has a woody fragrance.

The oil extract, according to early findings, lowers tissue inflammation, which causes swelling and stiffness. It does this by preventing white blood cell migration to injured tissues, which would otherwise result in the generation of inflammatory chemicals.

Olive Leaf Extract – The plant contains active polyphenolic components with anti-inflammatory capabilities, according to many study sources[1]. Oleanolic acid aids in the reduction of joint edema and stiffness.

Oleanolic acid has also been proven to aid with several types of arthritis, including osteoarthritis[2].

Gelatin is mostly composed of amino acids, glycine, and proline. Collagen synthesis requires these two amino acids. Pure gelatin has been linked to decreased pain in osteoarthritis and injuries from intense training and sports, according to study.

Gelatin is also necessary for the normal functioning of other organs and the increase of energy levels in the body.

There have been no reports of side effects from Kaprex.

What are the Ingredients in Kaprex?

These are the main ingredients in the Kaprex supplement’s formulation:

TetrasteM

A bitter compound extracted from hop plants, TetrasteM has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties. It also influences kinase signaling.

Rosemary Extract

This herbal extract is made from a evergreen shrub with needle like leaves. It has a woody-like smell. Preliminary evidence suggests that oil extracts reduce tissue inflammation and cause stiffening. It works by preventing the migration of white blood cells to damaged tissues, thereby triggering the production of inflammatory chemicals.

Olive Leaf Extract

According to multiple research sources[1], active polyphenolic compounds in the herb have been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects. Oleanolic acids can reduce stiffness and joint swelling. Studies also showed that Oleanolic acids can help with osteoarthritis and other forms of arthritis

Gelatin

This nutrient is mainly made up of proline and glycine amino acids. These amino acids are essential for collagen production. Research has shown that pure gelatin can reduce pain from osteoarthritis, as well as injuries from sports and hard training. Gelatin is essential for proper functioning of other organs, and for boosting your body’s energy levels.

The Science Behind Kaprex

This plant-based formula prevents the formation specific chemicals that can trigger inflammation and pain related to osteoarthritis or other pain-causing conditions.
This supplement contains ingredients such as Tetrase, which are known to affect kinase signaling and help relieve joint pain and swelling. Metagenics doesn’t offer any scientific evidence that would support the claims of the formula as a whole.

What are the Benefits of Kaprex?

Kaprex is a low-cost joint pain relief product. It can help reduce joint pain and swelling.
A prescription is not required for the formula. Kaprex offers some degree of predictability in the areas of cardiovascular safety and renal safety. This product is also made with all-natural ingredients that are known to provide joint comfort.
It is also gluten-free.

What are the Drawbacks of Kaprex?

Limited Kaprex reviews are available. The formula may take some time to give you the desired results .It should not be used if you are pregnant, nursing, or using anticoagulants.
This product is not recommended for children.
