Curcumin 2k Supplement Review, Benefits, Dosages & Side Effects

Curcumin 2k is a dietary supplement that is advertised to promote brain health, joint health, cognitive function and mood balance.

Curcumin is the primary active constituent found in the turmeric plant. It is a yellow colored spice that has been used in traditional medicine to promote healing, circulation, and anti-inflammatory effects.

Curcumin is an antioxidant that is purported to support wellness and healthy aging, improve joint pain and promote immunity.

Curcumin 2k from Stop Aging Now contains two active ingredients: turmeric root extract with 95% curcuminoids and BioPerine®, a black pepper extract.

Combining turmeric with BioPerine is purported to increase absorption of this ingredient from the gastrointestinal tract, resulting in a dietary supplement with up to 2000% greater oral bioavailability.

According to Stop Aging Now, this supplement ” Supports optimal brain health, cognitive function, mood balance, a healthy inflammatory response throughout your entire body and joint health.” [1]

  • Effective anti-inflammatory supplement
  • Shown to improve joint functionality
  • Anti-oxidant to supper general health

Designed For: Inflammatory pain – that’s what turmeric and curcumin work best for. If you have swollen joints or chronic inflammation, these herbs are the best choice.

My Curcumin 2K Review – A Very “Frustrating” Supplement

My Curcumin 2K Review - A Very "Frustrating" Supplement

It’s time to review Curcumin 2K, a product that it’s pretty unknown. Though it has very good ingredients, its website looks way too unprofessional for this level. At least that’s the feeling I got while browsing it.

Besides, I haven’t found too many authentic reviews about it, which makes me think there’s a scam behind this supplement.

So is Curcumin 2K any good? Or it’s just another product meant to take away your money?

Note: This review is based on my experience with this supplement, so it may or may not agree with other reviews you find. I am not praising/criticizing the product or the company, I am simply telling my opinion about it.

So Let’s Get To The Review

My Curcumin 2K Review – A Very “Frustrating” Supplement

Full Name: Curcumin 2K from Stop Aging Now

Quantity : 60 capsules

Best Actual Price: $28.50

Where I Bought It From: Ebay, but you can also find it on Amazon

Designed For: Inflammatory pain – that’s what turmeric and curcumin work best for. If you have swollen joints or chronic inflammation, these herbs are the best choice.

My Rating: 5.00 / 10.00

Worth The Price?: In my opinion, no. It’s not a bad supplement – so it’s definitely not a scam (as I initially thought).

However, it didn’t help me as much as I had hoped – my pain didn’t decrease too much on the long term. So that’s basically the main reason why I didn’t like it – effectiveness.

Besides, I think it’s very overpriced – $29 + shipping is a bit too much for a monthly supply, if you ask me. Especially since we’re talking about a turmeric supplement with classic ingredients.

What I Liked About It
  • Really good ingredients – the doses are over average
  • Also contains bioperine – essential for a proper absorption of turmeric
  • Not only for joint pain: it also works for memory improvement or energy boosting
  • I didn’t get any side effects
What I Didn’t Like About It
  • Pretty high dose of bioperine (too high in my opinion)
  • Only decreased my pain at the beginning
  • Their website looks very unprofessional
  • The “customer review” section from their website is closed – they show some reviews but they don’t let you write one yourself (scam?)
  • Very expensive for a turmeric supplement – it also doesn’t contain any special ingredient

The Ingredients – Pretty Good

Considering how badly their website looks, I would have expected the worst from this supplement. Well, that wasn’t the case when it comes to ingredients.

My Curcumin 2K Review - A Very "Frustrating" Supplement

Here’s what you need to know:

  • no brand ingredient or unique formula
  • classic combination
  • pretty good overall

So let’s take them by turn.

– Turmeric Root Extract (1330 mg) – this is actually the curcumin powder. I’m not sure how natural or how pure it is (they don’t say anything about this), but one this is clear:

The optimal dose of curcumin is around 1000-1500 mg, so 1330 mg are good enough.

– Bioperine (20 mg) – fortunately, they didn’t skip this essential ingredient, like many other brands did. However, there’s a small problem – 20 mg is a pretty high dose for bioperine.

It may not sound too much – but bioperine can cause stomach problems at very low doses. That’s why I wouldn’t recommend more than 15 mg (at most). 20 mg is already too much, if you ask me.

– Inactive ingredients (cellulose for the capsule, stearic acid, etc.) – these ones don’t really matter, because they don’t have any effect.

Overall, Curcumin 2K has some decent ingredients – they’re not the best ones I’ve seen, but they’re pretty good. But when it comes to quality, are they still pretty good?

Why I Bought This Supplement

Before I tell you how this supplement worked for me, I want to give you a few details about my condition.

I had rheumatoid arthritis for a long time – the problems I had were pretty normal for people with this diagnosis:

  • my pain was pretty terrible most of the times (around 6 on the pain scale)
  • I had flare-ups often times – every 3-4 days (my pain would get to a 7 sometimes)
  • morning stiffness was also a common problem
  • my hands were usually very swollen – especially when I wasn’t taking anything

Curcumin 2K seemed a good supplement for my condition – I always had good results with turmeric (but it depended on what supplement I was taking ). Judging after its ingredients, it should relieve my pain.

That’s why I gave it a chance and decided to see what it can do.

My Experience With This Supplement

Well, I started my treatment with Curcumin 2K expecting to get some relief pretty soon.

Week 1: In the first week, I didn’t feel any major changes, other than an improvement in my morning stiffness. Instead of lasting one hour, it would go away in about 45 minutes. But the change wasn’t very impressive, so that wasn’t a huge progress.

Week 2: In the second week, my pain was starting to improve. I went from my usual 6 to maybe a 5 on the pain scale. That may not seem that much, but in terms of pain, it is an improvement.

Regarding my morning stiffness, it was also starting to decrease. Now it would last about 30 minutes, which seemed really encouraging.

The Following Weeks – Bad News

Week 3: I reached the third week of treatment with big hopes. My pain was much better after 2 weeks, my morning stiffness also decreased, so I thought it was all just a matter of time.

Well, believe it or not, but from the third week, my pain didn’t decrease much. It was pretty weird:

  • my pain was still about a 5
  • my morning stiffness also lasted about half an hour, which was better than before

But despite continuing the pills, I didn’t get s bigger change. That was pretty disappointing – and weird.

Was it just me? I don’t know. Maybe it worked better for others, I have no idea – I couldn’t find any authentic review.

The only explanation I could find is that maybe my body got used to these pills. If they were bad, I would have never felt an improvement. So they were probably the right thing, but my body just didn’t react well to them anyone.

That’s the only explanation I can think about.

Question #1 – Is Their Curcumin Bad?

My Curcumin 2K Review - A Very "Frustrating" Supplement

At this point, I’m trying to find an explanation why these pills stopped working. Maybe you have the same problem, and that’s you’re reading my review.

So why did this happen?

In my case, it wasn’t the first timeI experienced something similar with other supplements. I didn’t find an explanation back then, but I do have a theory – bad ingredients.

What do I mean by that? Are their ingredients fake? Not really:

  • they’re not very natural
  • they could come from an artificial source
  • maybe they weren’t preserved right

Now, I’m not talking about Curcumin 2K – I’m talking about the supplements I used in the past and had the same problem. Here’s what mutual points they had with Curcumin 2K:

  • high dose of turmeric/curcumin – about 1500 mg per day
  • contained bioperine
  • started working after about a week
  • even though I continued to take the pills, the pain wouldn’t get any lower

Now, I’m not criticizing Curcumin 2K or claiming that it uses low quality substances. I can’t really tell that – so I can’t make an accusation without any real claims.

But judging after my body’s reaction, I believe there’s something not right with it. At least for my body, it’s surely not the right curcumin.

PRO #1 – 1 Year Guarantee

To be honest, that’s one of the top reasons why I bought Curcumin 2K. This guarantee made me trust it more.

My Curcumin 2K Review - A Very "Frustrating" Supplement

Why? I have several reasons:

  • the company has trust in this product
  • they are willing to refund you even for as long as 1 year
  • you don’t have to send the supplement back (if you still have it)

I personally have seen very few supplements that give any kind of guarantee.

And it’s a pretty tricky thing – after all, you can use the supplement, like it and still ask for a refund, just to get your money back.

So it’s kind of risky for the company. But they seem to be willing to take that risk.

However, there’s also a negative side about this guarantee thing:

  • the product doesn’t sell too well as it is
  • they could be using this strategy just to attract new customers (which they couldn’t otherwise)

So there are both good and bad points about this “money back” guarantee. But considering that it’s a pretty rare thing among supplements, I see it as an advantage.

But do they really give your money back? I’m sure they do – but in most cases, it’s a bit more complicated:

  • they will ask you to provide a bill or a receipt that you really bought their product
  • you will have to offer a long feedback about why you weren’t satisfied
  • they might try to make you change your mind (Amazon does that)
  • it will take a while until they send you the refund

So if you thought about buying this product, using it and then asking for a refund – don’t do it. It’s pretty complicated, if you ask me. Better choose a better product from the start – at least that’s what I would do.

CON #1 – Unprofessional Website

Later Update (November): The website doesn’t exist anymore, so now they’re only selling this supplement on Stop Aging Now’s website. This is a serious company, so their website looks great.

Curcumin 2K is sold on 2 official websites (besides Amazon, Ebay and all these retailers):

  • Curcumin2k.com – a website with only one page
  • StopAgingNow.com – the producer’s website

While the second one looks normal, the first one looks terrible – I mean it doesn’t look professional at all.

  • the whole site has only one page
  • very little text, most of the info is in a video
  • that video looks pretty poorly-made, in my opinion
  • there are very few details about the supplements itself and what it contains
  • the reviews from there are questionable (in my opinion)
  • the page is not secure, according to Google Chrome

So overall, their website (curcumin2k.com) looks totally unprofessional. It’s definitely not the kind of website I would buy from (it’s also labeled as “not secure”, as I said).

I bought this curcumin product from Ebay because I found a better price. But if I could only find it on their website, I would have thought twice about making a purchase there. To me, it really doesn’t seem trustworthy.

Besides, there’s one other thing I don’t like about that website – you can’t write or request to write an review.

They do have several reviews there, but they don’t let you write any (not even as a verified customer). That’s usually a sign of fake reviews – but I don’t mean to accuse anyone, because I don’t know for sure. It’s simply how it looks.

CON #2 – Pretty Expensive

Curcumin 2K isn’t the cheapest supplement I’ve ever seen. In my opinion, it’s a bit too expensive – or I should rather say, it’s a bit too expensive for its value. Here’s why I’m saying this:

  • it doesn’t have any original or brand ingredients
  • doesn’t work amazingly
  • it’s not any better than the average turmeric supplement – which costs around $20

So in my opinion, it should cost up to $10 less. At least judging after the ingredients it contains – nothing spectacular. They are good substances, but most turmeric supplements contain them – and they still have a lower price.

That’s why I believe that Curcumin 2K is a bit overpriced.

I would have ignored this aspect if it worked better – but as it didn’t, I don’t think it’s worth $29. It’s just my opinion.

My Final Verdict – Is It Worth Buying?

Short answer: Probably now. It’s not a bad supplement, but you can get a similar product for more than $10 less. That’s why it’s something I would necessary recommend.

Besides, it has a few downsides – I don’t know if it’s just me noticing them, but I can’t pretend they don’t exist:

  • doesn’t work great on the long term
  • it works great at first, but after a few weeks it doesn’t get any better
  • it has a pretty “fake” website (one of them)

Yes, it does have 1 year guarantee – they will refund you if you don’t like it. But I wouldn’t buy it just for this.

So Curcumin 2K would probably work great for a minor inflammation – but for a major one, I’m not sure. At least in my case, it wasn’t very effective – on the long term especially.

However, I think you can buy something better for less money. That’s the #1 reason why I don’t recommend Curcumin 2K.

To me it was a pretty frustrating supplement, because it worked at first and then it didn’t help me too much. So it’s not the kind of product I would buy again – at least not for $29.
