Supporting My Dog After Neutering

By MelO on Nov 5, 2021 top25Contributor

I got this to help my dog after his neutering. haven’t given it long enough to see if it works, but I want to help him in whatever way I can! It is in a powder form. My dog isn’t crazy about the powder, I did mix it with peanut butter for him and he eats it just fine that way.

Works great for Cushings

By Bernermom on May 10, 2021

Dr Mercola hormone powder works great for my 7 yo 125 lb male Bernese with Cushings. Started with noticable results on day one and he continues to improve at 2 weeks out. Dosing 2xday per instructions. Mixes very well with his homemade food. Palatable. Reduced his overdrinking and panting. Leg strength much better he can walk and run. He could stand/walk only with difficulty and wobbling before. Using in conjuncting with liquid herbal Adrenal Balance. Anxiety and stress yawns reduced too. Sleeping/resting better less pacing

Senior Dog with Cushings, it helps!

By NickiNicole21 on May 8, 2021

My senior dog will be 13 in July. The vet recently “diagnosed” our dog with Cushings. They wanted to do a $300/$400 test just to confirm, however all the symptoms lined up; excessive thirst and hunger, skin issues, needing to go out all the time and having accidents in the house. They also told us that the medicine would cost $180/month due to her size. Since adding this supplement to her dinner meal for a month we can see an improvement. Her skin issues have not gone away but improved, she doesn’t get up at 3am to go outside anymore and she seems less lethargic (as much as a senior dog could). For our dog this seemed to improve her symptoms, may not work for everyone but I’m glad she’s no longer My senior dog will be 13 in July. The vet recently “diagnosed” our dog with Cushings. AWESOME PRODUCT!

By MamaSherry on Oct 26, 2020

The coat of my black long-haired 9 year old chihuahua had become brown and short. Cushings? I could not afford testing & treatment. I tried this product and it worked! Her hair has turned back to black and is growing!

I Think It’s Helping

By Cookie on Oct 17, 2020

My Cookie has had Cushing’s for 2 years. I tried the recommended meds but they were hurting more than helping. I was looking into alternate solutions to help her feel better. Dr Mercola has the mixture of ingredients I was looking for – DIM, melatonin, and lignan. I use this along with Cushex drops M & S, plus CBD oil. I know these will not cure her but it’s given her a better quality of life. I have Dr. Mercola on auto ship. I only wish it was chicken flavor instead of beef since she’s on a poultry diet but she doesn’t mind the taste.

Dog Stopped Eating

By Martha on Sep 15, 2020

My dog really disliked this powder. At first he would eat it on his food, but then he stopped eating it even if I mixed it in with peanut butter. I didn’t see any immediate benefits and couldn’t get him to eat it for long enough to see longer term benefits.

Cushing’s Disease support, too

By ADOPTmoreFRIENDS on Aug 9, 2020

My dog was found to have Cushing’s Disease about three years ago after an ultrasound showed enlarged adrenal gland. He was asymptomatic, but I began researching holistic ways to treat CD. This supplement has the melatonin and lignans which are helpful in supressing cortisol production. I sprinkle the powder dose into his am and pm meals – twelve hours apart. When I told his our local vet university teaching school they approved.

The help he needs

By Lifesaver on Apr 4, 2020

My dog suffers from a pediatric neuter. It was the biggest mistake I’ve ever made in my life and I will forever be upset about it. His body proportions are terrible(as are most pediatric sterilizations). Due to the loss of hormones his bones are thin, not a lot of hair growth, other issues and he isn’t built properly. I could break his legs in my hands if I wished. I’ve read about this formula many times and decided I had to have it to see if it would help. It has helped him tremendously. Of course it won’t change his proportions but it helps him so much. It’s assisted his endocrine system and helped him produce more hair, which he was lacking. I recommend this product and I’m sure my dog does as well. … more

Great product!

By Diane on Feb 27, 2020

Our 15 year old toy schnauzer was diagnosed with Cushing disease. She wasn’t responding well to the medication prescribed for the disease so I decided to try to deal with it naturopathically. I put her on Cush X and she was better but she was still have accidents and was begging for food all the time(2 symptoms). I thought I’d try Dr. Mercola’s Glandular Support and she is SO much better. She’s perky, no more accidents and no begging. Her hormone levels are much better too. I’m thrilled. We have a male schnauzer that also has Cushings. I’d like to put him on the male version but it’s “out of stock”..Chewy please get it back in..thank you

Great Alternative to What Vet Recommended

By Janet on Sep 30, 2019

My elder dog was diagnosed with Cushings, presenting with intense, championship panting. I mean this panting kept me awake at night while wearing earplugs! He also exhibited excessive drinking, and some incontinence (although that may have been circumstantial more than disease related.) Our vet recommended a drug that was going to cost $70/mo and was associated with chemotherapy and was reported to have harsh side effects. After doing some research, I stumbled on this product and after reading positive reviews, decided to try it. I’m buying my third round now. After about 1.5 months, the panting was nearly completely gone (other than what’s normal.) Welcome Rocket Animal Health

Welcome Rocket Animal Health

FullBucket was our first brand launched by Animal Stewards International and the Team behind it focuses on developing the very best digestion supplement formulas for horses, dogs and cats on planet earth.

Our second brand has been waiting in the wings for 8 years; a Sister brand if you will. One that focuses on the other healthcare issues our loved animals deal with.

Health problems that effect joints, muscles, bones, hair and the mind.

Until we were able to build a similar Team to be as focused on these issues we waited patiently – and now is that time.

Rocket Animal Health is our newest brand and has launched the first dog product called Canine Cush Chews for Joints & Anxiety under the RocketDog sub-brand.

Soon we will be launching similar products under the RocketHorse sub-brand as well.

The feedback we are getting from veterinarians and dog owners around the country, has been nothing short of amazing and humbling, and we want that to continue.

If you have an aging or athletic dog showing signs of pain or inflammation, you need to give this product a try!

After a 2-years of research, development and testing, a best-of-breed CBD soft chew known as Canine Cush is finally released.

RocketDog, a premium brand of animal health supplements under the Rocket Animal Health brand, was developed to cut through the buzz and create a powerful, joint product that not only delivers the important effects of CBD but also a unique formula that delivers a well-rounded range of benefits from other proven ingredients to amplify the pain relief and joint protection that dogs from all walks of life require.

Listening to customers, filling unmet healthcare needs and providing the best possible products and experience is an essential part of RocketDog’s product development process.

One of the key pieces of feedback received from consumers was that they were sick of giving CBD to their dogs via messy oily liquids. This is why RocketDog chose to create Canine Cush in a soft-chew format that dogs love.

“As practicing veterinarians, we have seen the dog market flooded with sub-par CBD products using poor ingredient sources that are just not bioavailable (absorbable) to the animal.” Said Dr. Rob Franklin, DVM, DACVIM “This leads to poor results. The science is there that if you choose the best concentrations from the best sources, and in the right combinations, you can drastically reduce joint problems for our pets.”

CBD, in a water soluble format, is but one of the three main formulas bundled in Canine CUSH. Each, on their own, have been scientifically proven to improve joint health, and reduce inflammation and pain.

The patent-pending proprietary blend of phytocannabinoid-rich hemp powder in Canine Cush has an absorption rate 4X higher than competitors. The patent-pending Boswellia has an absorption rate 20X higher and the Eggshell Membrane also has an absorption rate 20X higher in clinical studies.

This powerful blend of CBD produces excellent results thanks to this unique blend of additional ingredients that gets the actives into the system where they can work to enhance the beneficial effects of CBD.

These formulas carry several commonly known and used joint health ingredients like chondroitin, hyaluronic acid, glucosamine and collagen – but in much more absorbable formulations – 20X more!

Customers and their four-legged friends will find ingredients such as:

  • Cannabigerol: a non-psychotropic compound in cannabis that constitutes 1% of the plant.
  • Cannabichromene: a non-psychotropic compound in cannabis that is abundant in cannabis plants
  • Natural terpenes: a non-psychoactive organic compound derived from plant resins.
  • Boswellia: assists in the normal inflammatory functions of joints, bones and other body systems
  • Curcumin: contributes to naturally support normal inflammatory processes such as sore, achy joints. It also helps support stifles, backs and elbows in dogs.
  • Egg Shell Membrane: increases flexibility and assists in reducing pain, injury and cartilage breakdowns in dogs and is especially helpful in alleviating symptoms from OCD, arthritis and dysplasia. Chondroitin, Collagen, Hyaluronic Acid and Glucosamine.

RocketDog’s Canine Cush soft chews are now available on RocketAnimalhealth.com, and select Retail stores.

In both single packages and a discounted package of three. Canine Cush is another industry-leading product developed by the veterinarians at Animal Stewards International, with science-based ingredients. Customers are in full agreement that this is one of the most powerful blends of ingredients on the market today.

Who is Animal Stewards International? – Rob Franklin, DVM, DACVIM, Keith Latson, DVM, DACVS and Robo Hendrickson are the founders behind Animal Stewards. Animal Stewards owns and manages the FullBucket and Rocket Animal Health supplement companies for horses, dogs and cats.

FullBucket is a complete line of digestive care animal health products that are used by the top veterinary clinics and Universities in the U.S. as a protocol to help fight digestive problems & disease.

Rocket Animal Health was launched in 2018 after a huge demand by veterinarians and customers to launch muscle, bone and joint products with the same quality and effectiveness as FullBucket.

They’re also the people behind the idea of “Be Good & Do Good” which is their way of helping animals in need – specifically working horses in poor communities around the world and service dogs here in the US.

Started in 2009, they are the very first animal healthcare company with a One-4-One giveback program, to help the 80-million working horses are donkeys, mules and horses used for hard labor to support families and communities throughout the developing world.

Their business model is simple: For Every Serving of RocketDog Sold, They Give One To Animals In Need. As their for-profit business grows, their ability to provide nutritional support to poor communities, without being reliant on donations, grows as well.

They see RocketDog and FullBucket as an opportunity to make the world a better place.

CBD for dogs, CBD treats, CBD Hemp Chews, CBD for dog joints, dog joint supplements,

Phytocannabinoids (CBD), eggshell membrane, curcumin, and Boswellia extract are included in the product for their ability to improve joint or physical performance. Also, the CANINE CUSH Reviews on the official website appeared to be positive.

If your pet has iatrogenic Cushing’s syndrome, your vet can try to gradually stop giving them steroids. But the original condition they were treating will probably come back.

Treatments

If Cushing’s syndrome comes from a tumor on your pet’s adrenal glands, the vet might be able to remove it with surgery, which will cure him of the problem. But if the tumor has spread to other parts of their body or they have other health problems, surgery may not be an option. It is often expensive and likely needs a specialty surgeon to perform it;

Usually, a dog can live an active, normal life with medication to treat the condition, though they’ll need it for the rest of their life. Drugs are best for dogs with Cushing’s syndrome caused by the pituitary gland or for those with a tumor on their adrenal gland that can’t be removed with surgery.

The most common drug is trilostane (Vetoryl). Mitotane (Lysodren) is an older drug that vets don’t prescribe much anymore. It causes many side effects, but it may cost less. Your pup will need regular check-ups and blood tests to make sure their treatment is working.

If your pet has iatrogenic Cushing’s syndrome, your vet can try to gradually stop giving them steroids. But the original condition they were treating will probably come back.

The most important thing you can do is to follow your dog’s treatment plan. Keep a close watch on their behavior and symptoms, and give them the right medication doses at the right times. You and your vet can work together to help them live a happy, healthy life.
