MOAPPP Adolescent Parent eNews

Dear MOAPPP Adolescent Parent Network:

Welcome to the first MOAPPP Adolescent Parent eNews!

This monthly newsletter is designed specifically for professionals who work with adolescent parents and their children. It serves as a supplement to the comprehensive communication you receive from MOAPPP each month (the MOAPPP e-monthly). We will keep it brief—only including the news, research, resources, advocacy and training opportunities most relevant to your work.

As we launch this new effort, I want to let you know that after almost eight great years at MOAPPP, I have decided that it is a good time in my life for a change. Though I don’t know exactly where this journey will take me, I am excited about the prospects that lie ahead. I will miss MOAPPP deeply, particularly all of the amazing people I have worked with, but I am confident that our paths will continue to cross in the years ahead. We will introduce you to the new Adolescent Parent Program Manager before the end of the year.

Thank you for all of the important work you do every day on behalf of young families in Minnesota.

Sincerely,

Marilyn Colby Rivkin
Program Manager, MOAPPP

Findings from the first phase of this three-phase project are summarized in this review (PDF) of how the media and the advocates in the field currently frame this group of adolescents and the issues they face.
